| I first met Dail last
September at one of my appearances and we had a wonderful visit, talked about
flutes and I got to hear her play a little and I was instantly amazed by her
honesty regarding her music.
Dail has been playing the
native love flutes for the past six years and has about 30 public appearances to
her credits not to mention two Great CD's "Deep Reflections and Northern Lights"
for the public to enjoy.
During a recent phone call
to her I inquired as to her flute family and she is the proud custodian of a
flute stable of 20 finely crafted flutes from a few makers.
The first thing that strikes
a person when meeting Dail is her passion for Native American music and most
Natives find it refreshing that she is straight forward about not having any
known native heritage.
This in no way takes away
from her native spirit that flows through her flutes, to hear this woman play is
a true treat for fans of native music and for seasoned players as well.
She is for the most part
self taught and I must say she is one heck of a student and teacher.
Recently Dail honored me by
sending me a copy of her two CD's, when I received them I did not listen to them
right away as I always like to set aside enough time to listen to anyone's CD's
from start to finish.
As I sat in my studio and
listened to her creations my Soul was lifted to heights that it has not felt in
a long time.
As each song filled the room
I was taken on a new journey and I could hardly wait for the next track, her
sound is unique and brutally honest, I was amazed that this artist hadn't had
her own concert tour at this time.
Remarkable control over her
notes as well as some heart felt change ups that I personally have never heard
from another player, she has earned 5 out of 5 stars from this web site.
Now it gets even better, I
asked her if she would join us for the 5th annual Mothers day concert to be held
at The White Feather Native American Center located at the Mountain Valley Mall
in North Conway, NH just off Rt. 16......so I invite you all to come take a
listen to this rising star yourself on May 8th, 2005. ( concert from 1:00 PM - 5
PM )
Dail will be doing two sets
and I believe that she will have some copies of her CD's for sale during the
intermission and at the conclusion of the concert.
I look forward to hearing
her play once again and I will continue to support this top ranking player for
years to come.
If you are looking to
book this bright talent for your Powwow or event you may contact her directly at
